Hotel Rina Sinaia is 5-7 minutes away by foot from the Sinaia Railway Station, and 100 meters away from the beautiful Sinaia Park in the center of the city.
Travel to Sinaia
Traveling from Otopeni Airport (Henri Coandă International Airport) to Sinaia can be done in several ways:
1. Train
Option A: Otopeni – Bucuresti Gara de Nord – Sinaia
- Take the express train from Otopeni Airport to Bucharest North Railway Station (Gara de Nord). Trip duration 25 minutes. (Alternatively, you can travel from Otopeni to Gara de Nord, by car, by ridesharing apps: Uber or Bolt, or by taxi. For taxi, avoid using the cars parked in front of the arrivals terminal. Instead, in the arrivals hall there will be automated machines, where you can order a taxi from the main taxi companies of Bucharest. Please be advised that they will not accept EUR payments, and they will require Cash payment in LEI currency).
There are two companies operating trains from Otopeni Airport to Bucharest Gara de Nord
- From Bucharest Gara de Nord, take a train to Sinaia (1.5 – 2 hours).

Option B: Otopeni – Ploiesti Vesti – Sinaia (faster than Option A)
To reach the Ploiesti Vest station, one should use a car transfer from Otopeni airport (ridesharing apps: Uber or Bolt, or taxi, see more details under the point above). Trip time from Otopeni to Ploiesti Vest: 30-40 minutes.
From the Ploiesti Vest Railway station one can board any train heading to Sinaia, that started the trip in Bucharest. For timetables, check the website of the companies listed under the previous point. Trip time from Ploiesti Vesti to Sinaia: 50 minutes.
2. Car Rental or Taxi
- Rent a car from Otopeni and drive to Sinaia (~2 hours, ~120 km via DN1/E60).
- Taxis or rideshare services (Uber/Bolt) can be expensive (~400-600 RON, ~80-120 EUR).
3. Bus or Shuttle
- Some private shuttle services operate between Otopeni and Sinaia
- Prices vary depending on the provider, trip time is approximately 2 hrs.

Important details on the Social Program – Wednesday, September 10th
On Wednesday, September 10th, all CBM 2025 participants are warmly invited to join a guided tour of Peleș Castle, starting at 15:30. After lunch, groups will depart from the hotel for a leisurely walk to the castle (approx. 1.9 km).
Following the castle tour, participants are invited to a Wine Tasting Session at 17:30, followed by a BBQ-style dinner, both hosted at the Foișorul cu Flori Complex (approx. 1 km from Peleș Castle).
If the weather is favorable, the journey from Hotel Sinaia to Peleș Castle, and afterwards to Foișorul cu Flori, will be planned as a pleasant stroll (see photo below). Participants with mobility difficulties are kindly asked to inform us in advance so that we can arrange an alternative means of transportation.
