The Carpathian Biophotonics Meeting aims to bring together researchers, scientists, and industry professionals to explore the latest advancements in biophotonics—a rapidly evolving field at the intersection of optics, photonics, life sciences and advanced materials. It will represent a biennial event, to be organized, mainly, across the Carpathian mountains range, within the seven countries crossed by these. The inaugural edition of this event, The 1st Carpathian Biophotonics Meeting (CBM2025) will be hosted between 8-12 September 2025 in the picturesque setting of Sinaia, Romania, with a clear objective set at promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and showcasing cutting-edge research in biomedical imaging, optical diagnostics, phototherapy, and biophotonics-based sensing technologies. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in insightful discussions, present their work, and network with experts in a dynamic and inspiring environment, set in Romania’s most beautiful mountain town.
